Many people who check into their accommodation venue don’t usually ponder the history of the establishment, and why should they? Not many places have a past worth sharing.
It is our privilege to tell you the tale of Dreamfields Guest House.
First built as a residential home any moons ago, the property was sold years later to an international couple who on their visit to South Africa, fell in love with Mpumalanga’s surroundings. They were then in the market to start their own B&B with the intention of being able to share their love for the area with other travellers.
Sadly, one of the partners passed away and so the establishment was run by various managers over the past few years.
In November 2018 Dreamfields Guest House, was bought by the current owners who have put a lot of time, effort and resources into the interior and exterior upgrade which gives it the face it has today. Through their hard work Dreamfields Guest House is currently the go to accommodation for tranquil relaxation. Each of the garden rooms are situated away from the main building, boast their own entrance and are in an evergreen lush garden.
Sleeping a maximum of 2 people, the garden accommodation is ideal for couples looking to break free from the hustle and bustle of life and rest in between all the available adventures Mpumalanga has to offer. Within the main building there is a family unit that is available to accommodate a family who has children of 8 years and older.
The days at Dreamfields Guest House start with our delectable continental breakfast served in the main building, offering an abundant selection of South Africa’s finest locally grown produce, freshly baked breads and pastries, yoghurts and cereals. A full English breakfast is also made to order, served on the spacious veranda or in the breakfast room.
Dreamfields Guest House is now able to proudly talk about its outside entertainment being a beautiful large swimming pool just off the deck of the main building accompanied by lounge chairs and umbrellas.
While lazing about one should keep the binoculars at hand as the bird life in the garden is fascinating and abundant. If birding isn’t your thing, you could simply select a book from our library and while away the afternoon.
Being located in Hazyview, let’s not forget to mention the convenience of being in the middle of the panoramic escarpment as well being in easy access to 3 of the world-renowned Kruger National Park’s gates.
So, whether you are looking to come and forget about the world around you or to catch your breath from all the activities, Dreamfields Guest House is sure to give you a warm welcome and we know you will leave as a lifelong friend.
Until next time.
